This image was one of a group I created as concepts for Reebok to showcase the re-design and re-release of their Pump shoe from the 80's. The art director wanted to focus on the pump air-bladder shape as a theme, so I was asked to create an image showing the air-bladder visible through the shoe using thermal imaging. I shot a digital photo of a Reebok Pump shoe from the side and then created an overlay of colors, mimicking a thermal imaging camera readout. To complete the effect of a thermal imaging camera, I also created graphs on the side showing scale and color key. The design team then made comps with this image which were presented to the client.
