After graduating from the School of Visual Arts, I've spent my career working in New York City, honing my skills in a variety of areas such as digital marketing, catalog, book, logo, pattern, and print design. I'm proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and have experience using other Adobe CS programs as well. My advanced skills in Photoshop include photograph restoration, photo compositing and special effects, retouching, and color correction. My in-office experience has provided me with excellent communication and creative problem-solving skills finely tuned over years of working within a wide variety of markets, providing results in a solo capacity, as well as a team-oriented environment, from tight timeframes to long-term projects.
Throughout my career, I've provided creative solutions for brands such as Pepsi, M&M Mars Inc., Reebok, Aiwa, Frank Gehry, Bank of America, KFC, and Chrysler at advertising agencies such as Arnell Group, Bozell, and Ogilvy. I was a senior graphic designer at Sony Music responsible for in-house creation of Enhanced CDs, digital video, websites, and other multimedia projects for artists such as Gloria Estefan, Destiny's Child, Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, The London Suede, and James Taylor, including two AIGA excellence awards ('96 and '97) for work on Sony Music Enhanced CDs. I provided composition, retouching, and color-correction services for photographer Daniel Aubrey's exhibit, The Minotaur Series. As the drummer for an internationally touring band, I also worked in a visual art capacity and was responsible for design, layout, and photo composition for CDs, vinyl, press photos, laminates, tour posters, t-shirts, published ads, and created photography and layout for a Kickstarter behind-the-scenes book.
