This image was one of a group I created as concepts for Reebok to showcase the re-design and re-release of their Pump shoe from the 80's. The art director wanted to give the new Pump shoe a tougher image and emphasize it's science-based creation, so he chose a molded tech theme. I shot photos of Reebok Pump shoes from several angles and created the mold image from scratch in Photoshop, using the shoe's texture to create the mold's interior and inserting a photo of the shoe into the other half of the mold. I then made color-corrections to the shoes and added highlights and shadows to the shoes and scene, creating a more photo-realistic effect. This comp was presented to the client.
