This image was one of a group I created as concepts for Reebok Classics ads featuring the rappers from Mobb Deep. I was given images of Mobb Deep shot specifically for this project, then I added Reebok elements like logos applied onto shirts, or as reflections shown in sunglasses. For this particular image, I was asked to create a jewel-encrusted pendant in the shape of a Reebok Classics shoe. I took a Classics shoe illustration, and created a metallic, jeweled pendant from that image using various techniques. I replaced the rapper's existing pendant with the Reebok Classics shoe pendant, including creating new shadows and highlights. I was also asked to replace the existing Reebok logo with a shoe illustration applied as a t-shirt graphic. This group of images was shown to Reebok and to Mobb Deep and their representatives for approval.
