Delia's / CDextra Samplers
Role: Lead Designer
Concept: Sony CDextra based on Delia's catalog brand and various artist's marketing materials. A CD sampler given away with a Delia's purchase, highlighting and promoting Sony Music artists.
IMG 1: Delia's provided graphics based on their catalog design to use for design, and the concept was to create navigation utilizing these specific Delia's elements. Daisy buttons scroll body text and images up and down. Type buttons at bottom link to Sony Music artists' individual sections. Online links take users to delias.com and gurl.com.
IMG 2: In each Sony Music artist section, highlighted songs can play audio of those songs off the CD. Pictures of the artist and album artwork promote the artists' CDs. Text link to artist's website is available.

Twirling flower shapes animate in the background, while each balloon is a button with links to Sony Music artists' sections, a gurl.com informational section, and online links to delias.com and gurl.com.
IMG 2: Instead of lyric-syncing, the concept for this sampler was a Sony Music remixer. The directions page features original illustrations and backgrounds to show steps explaining how to use the song mixer to interactively "remix" a song. The interface design allows the user to turn on/off and lower/raise the volume of sound samples over a looped track. Type buttons at bottom link to each Sony Music artist's section.
IMG 3: The "remixer" section for each section features sound samples and a loop that are taken from the artist's song on the CD. All artwork for backgrounds and mixer interface is original (mixer technology created by a programming partner). A video button in the lower right plays the artist's music video.
