The artist and I worked together on this concept for his demos album, MSI Pink, with inspiration taken from the style of 1990's design magazines. For the front cover, he wanted the look of a beat up record cover, as if the album was actually vintage. I took photos of old albums I owned, composited them, and then created the embossed title in Photoshop. The artist wanted to use his collection of old VHS tapes for the back cover track listing to evoke a 1990's nostalgia feeling, so he provided me with photos of the tapes. I had him create handwritten track names which I composited onto the tape labels in Photoshop for the final look. For the interior gatefold spread of the LP, the artist wanted to create an image showcasing old technology which he used to create his early music demos intermixed with other funny 1990's items, with call-outs in the style of early Wired Magazine  product features. I created the inner sleeves art in a 1990's "dirty type" design style by compositing old photos of the artist and type from various notes and journals he provided. This LP art was then repurposed for the CD booklet. For the CD disc art, I suggested knocking out the background behind the computer disc to show the metallic, original CD surface below the art. I did all type and image layout for the LP gatefold, LP labels, LP inner sleeves, iTunes booklet, CD jewel case booklet, CD trayback and disc and prepared them all for print production, including making any necessary revisions requested by the album production company. Additionally, I made a 1990's-style "Lost Dog" flyer at the artist's request, which he put up around NYC and posted online.
