HCES: Spring Benefit 2016 Booklet
I donated pro bono work on this project for Hunter College Elementary School. The lead in charge of the project asked me to create a booklet for the 2017 Spring Benefit and Auction. This involved designing original 4-color artwork for the cover and layout and design of 63 B&W interior pages. I was given a 1960's James Bond-style gambling in Monte Carlo theme as a starting point. I researched images of 60's travel posters and pulled ideas from those illustrations to create a new background. I drew stylized people, cards, chips, and dice and did all type layout for the cover plus all design and layout of the interior pages. Additionally, I created invites, large format signage for the event, and a lockup to be used for heading documents and as a web header. I then coordinated with the printer, creating printer spreads in the necessary format, checking proofs, and collecting the final 800 printed booklets.
